GSM, the electric taxi service of billionaire Pham Nhat Vuong, is exploring a stock exchange listing in Hong Kong, reports Vietnam.vn.
According to Vietnam.vn, GSM (Green and Smart Mobility) is considering an IPO in Hong Kong. Founded in 2023 by businessman Pham Nhat Vuong, who also heads Vingroup and carmaker VinFast, GSM runs Vietnam's largest electric taxi fleet under the brand name Xanh SM.
The report shows that electric taxi transport is growing worldwide and that serious capital is being invested in it. The sector is also taking steps towards electric driving in the Rijnmond region, although the scale differs greatly: while GSM operates a large fleet in Vietnam, electric taxi transport in Rotterdam, Vlaardingen and Schiedam is mainly used by individual entrepreneurs and smaller fleets.
This message from Vietnam does not change anything for a ride with VindTaxi. VindTaxi already operates a fully electric Nissan Ariya in Rotterdam, Vlaardingen, Schiedam and the rest of Rijnmond, and works together with affiliated companies within the Taxi EU Service NL Platform for larger groups, freight up to 500 kg or car transport.
